Some people, like my brother, think I am naive. They believe the world to be a cruel, unfair and meaningless farce and openly embrace that with their nihilistic greed, powerlust and heartlessness, and see other things like virtue, conscience, meaning and purpose are at best illusions embraced by the lessers which the truly great rejects, and at worst a tool by the strong and powerful to collar and exploit the weak and hapless. But I am aware of and accept how cruel, unfair and meaningless the world is - unlike them, I just refuse to abide by it. I believe the fact that the world is meaningless, unfair and cruel are what make those 'illusions' all the more important, because embracing and applying benevolence, fairness and meaning are the only way we can add value to our existence and become more than just what a cruel and meaningless world mould us into. If existence is a blank canvas, why not add paint and make a beautiful painting out of it? If everyone are miserable, why not
